Burnett Not Blaming The Players

Wayne Burnett has said he won't criticise the players following the loss to Chesterfield, because it's been a strange week for everyone.

Speaking the press after the 1-0 loss Burnett admitted that the departure of John Still had hit the players, and whilst that can be an issue it can't be allowed to last.

'It's been a big step up for me but it's great to have the opportunity. Time will tell how things work out, but I came here five years ago thinking I could end up in this position. No games in our division are easy, but this group is capable of so much. We'll just keep going and try and win as many games as possible. If we get points on the board then who knows where it may take us.'

Big learning curve for Burnett and the players also need to step up now and get results. Hectic week yes, hectic fortnight can't be allowed.
