'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Mixed Emotions For Burnett

Wayne Burnett has admitted he has mixed emotions from the final day of the season.

Speaking to reporters following the loss to York, Dagenham survived by the skin of our teeth thanks to the fact Barnet lost.

Are there any fans who wouldn't have taken survival by goal difference if it was offered though?

'We've achieved our goal but it's not been the best of days really. We've been beaten, and yet stayed up. It's quite amazing. There's always been that work ethic there and the effort from the players has never been an issue for me, it's just the quality hasn't always been there.'

Burnett says there is a lot of hard work to be done in the summer to ensure the club don't play with our futures like this again next season and one of his key challenges is to adjust the mentality of the squad so we don't switch off and shoot ourselves in the foot as often as we have done this season.
