'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Burnett Speaks On Permanent Role

Wayne Burnett has spoken of his delight at being offered the managerial position on a permanent basis.

Speaking to the Official Site he said.

'Being a manager was something I always wanted to do when I finished playing, it's an absolute honour to be named Manager of Dagenham and Redbridge FC. My objective this season was to keep the team in the Football League which I did but certainly not in the manner or fashion I would have liked.'

Burnett says that he was always hopeful that he would be offered the role permanently during his spell as interim manager but he wasn't expecting it as he knew there would be a lot of interest in the position.
