'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Mansfield 3 Dagenham 0

31st August 2013
15:00
One Call Stadium

With such a good home record Mansfield will always fancy their chances at home, Dagenham were the latest visitors to the One Call stadium.

They, as so many others had in recent times, were sent packing with a defeat as the Stags secured their first home win since returning to the football league...

A forgettable first half was almost lit up by Clements, but his effort for Mansfield from all o 30-yards went just wide, however a few minutes later Clucas (35) put the hosts ahead.

The Stags burst out of the traps in the second half with Rhead and Clucas both going close before McGuire (48) saw his 25-yard effort slip through Dagenham goalie Lewington.

3-0 was the final outcome when Rhead (72) put the finishing touch to a smart move.
