Currie Looks Back On Peterborough

First team coach Darren Currie has looked back on our loss to Peterborough and he feels despite going down one nil on the day, the players can take a lot of positives and belief from the game as we head into this weekend's fixtures.

Echoing many of the thoughts of the gaffer Wayne Burnett, Currie told the Official Site that he felt we deserved at least a draw on the day in our Johnstone's Paint Trophy clash, as we started very brightly and matched our League One opponents for large parts of the game and it really shows how far the club have come themselves recently that we could put in a performance like that, but we just didn't have the luck to get that one clear cut chance to level the score.

'We just fell short in the final third and that's frustrating at the minute because we are creating opportunities and we are a real attacking threat even though our last two or three results haven't gone for us.'

The coach also admitted that he was looking forward to working with Anthony Edgar properly, and also revealed that Chris Dickson is still playing catch up really in terms of fitness and sharpness, but he's getting better with every game and every training session so should soon be at his best.

Despite his lack of sharpness at the moment though on another day Currie feels he could've still found the net against Peterborough, he just needed something clearer to have fallen for him.

Hopefully it'll come together again in the next few weeks.
