Burnett Speaks Ahead Of Wycombe Match

Burnett Speaks Ahead Of Wycombe Match

Manager Wayne Burnett has spoken ahead of tomorrow's game against Wycombe Wanderers and said he's confident we will get back on track with three points in the game.

Speaking to the Official Site ahead of the encounter, the gaffer said that we had to show great character to come back against AFC Wimbledon in our last match to take a share of the spoils, and he believes that our home form this campaign will give us that extra edge tomorrow and ensure we come away with all three points.

He also revealed that Billy has had an MRI scan and has definitely been ruled out of tomorrow's game, but at this stage there is no definitive answer on how long he may be out injured as they are still awaiting the full results.

'Wycombe have a good manager, he's done very well and it's going to be another tough game. It's at home and our home form is good, so we're confident going into the match. It's going to be very competitive, very tactical. I hope we can do the same as we did against Burton Albion.'

Following the match we have a two week break in the fixture list, so Burnett wants to see the players give everything they absolutely can because over that spell everyone can recover, but he wants to go into that break with a win.

He also spoke briefly about our new loan signing Lawson D'Ath, saying that he'd seen him on a number of occasions and he feels he's a very technical player who also has a goal in him. He said that the player was very interested in coming here as well which always bodes well, so hopefully he'll be a very good addition to the group and increase our options.
