Bingham On Injury & Woodall Departs

Billy Bingham has said spoken and given an update on his injury, and the club have also announced that Brian Woodall has now left.

Speaking to the Official Site firstly, Bingham explained that in some ways it was actually helpful for him that he's had a similar problem in the past and he can obviously lean on that knowledge because he's been through this before, he knows what to do and he knows the likely timescales involved.

Presumably as he says that he's ahead of schedule on his recovery, that knowledge has helped speed the process up as he has learnt from previous mistakes.

'It's coming along good, I'm ahead of schedule. They said I'd need to be in a knee brace for six weeks but I cam out of that after four. I started running today and twisting and turning, so it's coming along well.'

Despite his obvious progress, Bingham admits that it's still frustrating to have picked up the injury when he did and this is where having a similar injury in the past actually makes it more frustrating but he's looking forward to getting back into full training when the medical staff allow and then hopefully continuing from where he left off.

As for striker Brian Woodall, his contract has been terminated by mutual consent and has been done so 'in order to further his career' and in that regard the club wish him the very best for the future.

Burnett said of his departure.

'I would like to wish Woodall all the very best and as his opportunities have been limited this season, we felt it was best for both parties he looked to further his career with another club.'

Since joining us in the summer of 2011, Woodall has gone on to make 88 appearances all in for Dagenham and Redbridge, 48 starts and has scored 16 goals in that time.

Since December of this season he has been on loan at Dover.
