Reading's Samuel Joins The Daggers
Dagenham and Redbridge have snapped up highly rated Reading youngster Dominic Samuel on a month long youth loan deal.
The 19 year old has started his career in their Academy and during his spell playing for their U18s he racked up a rather impressive (even at that level) 13 goals in 14 games.
He was offered a professional contract in December 2011 and made his debut for the club later that month, on the 11th, in their game against Sunderland as a 72nd minute substitute.
In January 2013 he joined Colchester on loan but only made two appearances.
He has also scored his first goal for England's U19 side in his second match against the Ukraine back in October 2011, having made his debut for them against Portugal two days earlier,.
The striker has signed for us in good time and is eligible for the game against Fleetwood Town and he has been handed the No 28 shirt.
Speaking to the Official Site the player himself said he was very hopeful and optimistic that he could make an impact at the club during his time with us, and that obviously is what he'll be aiming to do.
'I trained today, all the players were good to me, they're good on the ball and I enjoyed training. We've had loads of banter and the boys have made me feel welcome and I'm ready to go.'
One advantage for Samuel is he knows Lawson D'Ath quite well and he knows how he plays so he's instantly had someone to welcome him into the dressing room, and help make him feel comfortable out on the training pitch which has helped his confidence.
