Azeez Extends Daggers Spell

Dagenham and Redbridge have today announced that they have secured the agreement of Charlton Athletic to extend the loan spell of young striker Ade Azeez.

The 20 year old will now remain at the club until the end of the current season having first joined us back in February.

Having made his debut on the day he joined us as a 75th minute substitute in the defeat to Hartlepool, and scored his two goals for us in the game against Bristol Rovers.

Speaking to the Official Site as the news was announced, manager Wayne Burnett said of the deal.

'I'm delighted we have managed to extend Azeez's loan until the end of the season. I think all the loan players have been invaluable to us this season and what they have done is a credit to themselves as well as their club and I'm really pleased about that.'

In his time with us so far since his Hartlepool debut, he's made a further four appearances from the bench but has made eight starts.
