'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Defender Green Becomes Second Signing Of The Day

Following on from the addition of goalkeeper Mark Cousins, manager Wayne Burnett has also added defender Nathan Green to our ranks.

The 23 year old left footer joins us from Tonbridge Angels on a 12 month deal and his versatility means he can play at either full back or on the wing.

Having come through Croydon Athletic's Youth Academy, breaking into their first team, he moved on to Lewe's in November 2010, later signing for Billericay Town. In January 2013 he made the move to Skrill South side Tonbridge Angels and faced off against striker Bradley Goldberg during his spell at Bromley last season.

Presumably he came to our attention when scouting the progress of Goldberg, and despite having played for a number of teams so far in his early career, his year with us will be his first in the Football League so it'll be interesting to see how he makes the step up.

Speaking to the Official Site following the signing, Burnett said.

'I'm very pleased to have signed Nathan. We've been tracking Nathan Green for a couple of months, we've had numerous reports on him. He's a bit raw, but I see potential in him and see attributes in him that can see him become a league player.'
