Great Wakering Rovers 2-6 Dagenham

Dagenham returned to the scene of our first ever match yesterday as we made the trip to Boroughs Park to face Great Wakering Rovers.

the match got off to a blistering start and the hosts took the lead after only eight minutes as we failed to deal with a corner. Dagenham went close to levelling the scores through Mykel Beckley but his effort clipped the cross bar.

Beckley got the chance to try the same effort again just two minutes later, but this time he made it count and we went into the half time break level.

With the introduction of Nabil Guedioura and Adi Youseff at the break, Dagenham really kicked on scoring three times in eight minutes.

Guedioura set up Youseff for the first of that set, although minutes later Rovers did have the ball in the back of the net, but it was ruled out for off side. We raced up the other end and Youseff won a penalty as the keeper pulled him back. Guedioura took the chance and scored our third of the night. Beckley then raced down the left and put in a delivery that Guedioura again finished for our fourth just after the hour mark.

Great Wakering then scored their second of the night, but within a minute we had scored again as Excel Axel rifled home from 25 yards.

Youseff and Guedioura went close to add another goal to their tallies, and Nabil almost got his hattrick but the effort came off the woodwork.

The scoring was finishing off by Tash Richmond.

Dagenham:

Ronnie Worster (Lewis Moore 46), Ryan Case, Nathan Green, Jon Nouble, Ian Gayle, Excel Axel, Mykel Beckley, Steve Ramsden (Nabil Guedioura 46), Andre Bouchard, Tash Richmond, Bobby Devyne (Abdillahie (Adi) Youseff 46).
